Indications:
MD-HIP is a Class III injectable medical device based on type I porcine-derived collagen in the form of tropocollagen.

It is used as mechanical support for the regeneration processes of fibrous connective tissue structures damaged as a result of injuries (trauma, sports injuries, surgical procedures), ageing, UV radiation, environmental pollution and other factors that may lead to the degeneration of collagen fibres.

Calcium phosphate is the main mineral component of bone tissue. It plays a key role in callus formation and bone metabolism. Calcium phosphate has been selected as an excipient in this product because osteochondrosis of the femoral head or osteoporosis often accompanies hip osteoarthritis.

Supplementation with calcium phosphate helps prevent the progression of hip osteoarthritis.

Actions of the product:

  • increases the range of motion of the hip joint
  • facilitates stretching of the muscles in the lumbopelvic region
  • supports the periarticular muscular tissue
  • relieves local pain, including pain caused by hip joint movement or postural abnormalities

Product Composition — MD-HIP
MD-HIP contains type I collagen in the form of porcine-derived tropocollagen, designed to provide mechanical support to the natural regenerative processes of fibrous connective tissues.

Excipients: calcium phosphate, water for injection.
Calcium phosphate is a natural component of bone tissue and supports bone metabolism, which is why it has been included as an excipient in a product intended for the hip joint region.

Safety information:
No hypersensitivity reactions to MD-HIP have been reported to date. The product contains animal-derived collagen (porcine). For patients with suspected sensitivity to any ingredient, a local test injection into the arm followed by 1 hour of observation is recommended.

Possible local reactions:

  • slight redness at the injection site (typical mechanical effect),
  • short-lasting burning or pain during injection — usually resolves within 5–10 minutes.

Mild skin reactions after treatment are normal and related to the injection process itself.

Hygiene and application:
Proper skin cleansing and disinfection before and after administration is essential. Inadequate hygiene may lead to local infection or abscess formation.

Precautions:

  • KEEP OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN.
  • Do not use after the expiry date.
  • Do not use if the vial or packaging is damaged.
  • Use immediately after opening — this product is single-use only.
